In this project, I will show you how to build a neat soldering glove attachment that allows you to effortlessly bond wires while only utilizing one hand for both the solder and soldering iron.
I like using a smaller motor compared to the 1st one, but the lights and haptic motor seem excessive. It would be cool to have a version that is attached to the iron, but with the smaller motor and magnetic/interchangeable solder guides. Nice and simple. Could be version 1.5. The touch buttons on the pcb of version 1 were genius btw.
I'm adding things up and this is looking to be around $200?
I would buy, right now. Even in prototype state.
Happy to hear! I’m also selling them here: https://roboticworx.shop/products/solder-sustainer-v2
The link doesn't seem to be working. I just get about:blank
Interesting, you can also go to www.roboticworx.shop then navigate to the project 👍🏻 let me know if there’s any other issues
please make support shipping outside usa
Why not a single foot pedal and auto retract a pre-set amount when no foot pedal input.
Solid idea! However, it would make it difficult when fully retracting the solder (when you want to take the guide off)
You can just spin the roll manually and wind it up.

Thanks for your feedback!
I am thinking something like the v1 but far smaller and compact whenever I design the third version. Perhaps even desk-based!
And thanks for saying so, I think that was probably the coolest part too. Plus, they are pretty simple to work out which is always nice!
